Nonprofit Resources
Quality legal assistance is critical for nonprofits to execute their missions and serve their communities. At LegalCORPS, we understand that nonprofits require a broad spectrum of support services to navigate challenges that for-profit entities may not. Our goal is to provide pro bono legal guidance and connect nonprofits to a wide range of resources outside the legal field.
Each of the resources listed below offers distinct programming that complements our pro bono legal assistance, enabling your organization to effectively contribute to supporting Minnesota residents and communities. Please familiarize yourself with each of them so that you can take advantage of their services if needed.
For needs other than legal assistance, check the following resources:
Minnesota Council of Nonprofits provides a comprehensive guide to starting a Nonprofit in Minnesota, maintaining a nonprofit, and dissolving a nonprofit. There are additional resources available on the National Council of Nonprofits’ website, including fiscal sponsorship. LegalCORPS has pulled together many of these nonprofit formation resources into a helpful PDF called the LegalCORPS Nonprofit Formation Guide.
Propel Nonprofits‘ programs and services focus on helping nonprofits strategically link strategy, governance, and finance. Propel Nonprofits provides information about fiscal sponsorship, as well.
